:: Ingredients for Spicy Veg Frankie A) To make dough
1 cup wheat
flour
1/4 cup maida
3/4 cup water
B) To make veggie
1 potato (grated)
1/2 cup chopped
onions
1/2 cup shopped mushrooms
1 clove garlic(finely chopped)
2 green chillies(finely
chopped)
2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
1 capsicum
(chopped)
1/2 cup cabbage (grated)
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1 tsp tomato
sauce
1/2 tsp turmeric
powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp lemon
juice
1 tsp garam
masala
1/2 tsp coriander
powder
1/2 tsp jeera powder
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
:: How to make Spicy Veg Frankie A) To make dough:
Firstly mix wheat flour, maida, salt,
water and knead into a hard dough. Cover
the dough.
B) To make veggie:
1.Heat oil in a pan and add chopped
onions, chopped garlic, green chillies,
capsicum and cook and cook till the
onions turn golden brown.
2..Then add potato, chopped tomatoes and
cook till tomatoes become soft.
3. Once the tomatoes become soft add
tomato sauce, coriander and jeera powder,
salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, garam
masala, dry mango powder and chopped
coriander and lemon juice. Mix all the
ingredients properly. When the masala’s
get cooked, switch off the gas.
C) To serve:
1.Make 4 balls from the frankie dough.
And roll to form small rotis. Bake them
on the tawa on both the sides, till
golden brown or done.You can apply butter
on it. 2.Remove the frankie roti in a
dish. Put the stuffing in the centre of
the roti in a straight line.Roll the
rotis first folding the vertical sides.
3. serve hot with green chutney or sauce.
