| A decadent indian recipe for salmon masala! |
:: Ingredients for Salmon Masala
Salmon steaks- 2 lbs
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tablespoon
Cuminpowder-1 tsp
Crushed black pepper- 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice- 2 tablespoons
Ginger- 1-inch piece (finely chopped)
Crushed Garlic- 6 cloves
Red chili powder- 1 tsp
Large onion- 1 (chopped)
Large tomato- 1 (chopped)
Poppy seeds- 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil- 1/4 cup
A bunch of chopped cilantro (coriander) leaves
:: How to make Salmon Masala
Sprinkle the salmon with lemon juice, turmeric & salt and
let it marinate for 15
minutes.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the ginger, garlic and onion
until the onions are golden.
Add the poppy seeds & crushed pepper and stir for a
minute. Then add the
tomatoes & all the spice powders and little salt to taste.
Mix well. Now add the
marinated fish with the lemon juice and mix gently. Cover
and cook over low heat
for 15-20 minutes or until the fish are cooked. Garnish
with chopped cilantro
leaves and serve hot.
