| Indian food recipe for bean tostada, yummy! |
:: Ingredients for Bean Tostada
Kidney Beans - 1 cup (cooked)
Cabbage - 1 cup (chopped)
Egg - 1
Shredded cheddar cheese - ½ cup
Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
Red chilly powder - ¼ tsp
Garam masala - ¼ tsp
Tortia - 2
Sour cream - 4tbsp
Salsa - 4 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Bread crumbs - ¼ tbsp
Cilantro 4 tbsn (chopped )
:: How to make Bean Tostada
Mash cooked beans. Mix it with cabbage, cumin seeds,
chilli powder, cheese and
salt.Divide into 2 balls and shape them to oval shaped
patties of about ½ inch
thickness. Coat with egg and then with breadcrumbs.
Spread ½ tspn oil onto a hot griddle. Cook these patties
on medium heat till
brown on both sides about 3-5 minutes.
Heat Tortia on the same griddle till crisp.
Serve one patty on a tortia topped with sour cream, salsa
and cilantro.
