:: Ingredients for Tamarind Gosthu
Vegetables - any one of brinjal, plantain,
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Dried red chillies - 3-4
:: How to make Tamarind Gosthu
Cut any of the vegetables into medium pieces and cook in a
pressure cooker. Heat
2 spoon of oil in a fry pan ,add mustard seeds and whole
red chillies. When the
mustard pops, add tamarind juice and the vegetables and
salt to taste and cook
for about 5 minutes. This is a side dish for Venpongal or
Uppuma.
