:: Ingredients for Thiruvaadirai Kali
Raw rice - 1/4 kg
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Ghee - 100 g
Jaggery - 1/2 kg
Cardomoms - 6
Cashewnuts - 10
:: How to make Thiruvaadirai Kali
Roast the rice in a dry pan until it becomes golden red.
Dissolve the jaggery in
1/2 litre water. Roast the cashews, cardomom, coconut, in
ghee and pour into the
jaggery water. Heat the mixture until it boils. Now add
the rice powder and stir
well once.
Keep this in a pressure cooker and steam fully.
